Welcome to Bensler aka Partners 4 Life! I saw there was no EO home on Dreamwidth so I created this. If you love EO, please join and feel free to post!

The only criteria for being a member is that you should love EO/Bensler. If you don't, please create your own community for the ship(s) you love.

FAQ

Q: What can I post?
A: Anything EO-related! Links to your fic (or the fics themselves, if you so choose), fanart you made, a fanvid you made, a set of fic/art/vid recs, a fic search ("help I remember reading a fic where…"), a recs wanted post (e.g. "link me fics where Olivia was pregnant with Elliot's baby"), an essay on the characters, discussion on a particular episode, what you think should have or could have happened IF, etc. Links to articles about SVU (for discussion purposes) are also welcome.

Q: How do I tag?
A: Use one or more tags for the relevant seasons/arcs/etc. (see tags beginning with "time:"), and one tag for the type of post ("post type:"). If posting fanfic, fanfic ads, or fanfic recs, then also one or more tags for the relationship ("relationship:"). If the post itself contains NSFW content (explicit fic or art), then it must also be tagged nsfw.

Q: May I post in a language other than English?
A: Yes! Please comment on the introduction post to let the mods know so your language's tag can be added, if it's not already available. Posts in other languages must be tagged with the correct language.

Q: Is it OK to use cut tags on essays?
A: Yes, cut tags are welcome on longer posts. We encourage using the cut link to summarize/describe the content of the post in a single phrase or sentence.

Q: What's the difference between the post types "fanfic ad/promo", "fanfic post", and "fanfic recs"?
A: See below:
Fanfic ad/promo is for writers to promote their fics by advertising them here. One fic per post is fine, and moodboards/covers are welcomed as part of that.
Fanfic post is for writers to actually post their fics to this community. Fics may be combined into a single post as long as their tags match for time and relationship.
Fanfic recs is for a reader to post links to at least three fics and describe why you think we should read them.

Q: My fic features Barson/Tuckson/Cabenson/some other ship for Elliot or Olivia, but EO is endgame. Is it OK to post?
A: Yes! EO endgame fics are always welcome, even if they start with other ships.

Q: My fic features Barson/Tuckson/Rollisi/some other ship but Elliot and Olivia are friends in it. Is it OK to post?
A: Generally no, especially if the fic involves Elliot or Olivia in a relationship with someone else. A Rollisi fic with background EO does not belong here either. EO must be the focus.
Exception: If the fic has no other ships for Elliot or Olivia and it focuses on Elliot and Olivia, it's fine as long as the fic doesn't completely dismiss the idea of them ever being more than friends.
The admin/mods reserve the right to exercise judgment on this.

Q: My fic features Elliot and Olivia as part of a threesome/moresome. Is it OK to post?
A: Yes, as long as it is tagged with "relationship: poly".

Q: In my fic, EO break up / one of them dies after getting together, but the fic is only focused on them. Is it OK to post?
A: Yes, but you must tag with the relationship tag "relationship: post-relationship", so members can avoid reading posts with that tag if they want.

Q: Can I post every time my fic updates?
A: If you're posting the fic on this community (and linking all entries together), then yes. Otherwise, please post the advertisement for the fic only once and encourage readers to subscribe on AO3 or ff.n.

Q: Can I post explicit fic?
A: Yes, just make sure it's under a cut, and tag it with "nsfw" in addition to the other tags.

Q: Can I post NSFW art?
A: Yes, as long as it's your own drawings (not photo manips). Make sure the images must be under a cut, and tag it with "nsfw" in addition to the other tags.

Q: Can I post essays that aren't directly related to EO?
A: Yes, as long as the essays aren't anti-EO. Since there is no general SVU community on Dreamwidth, this community is happy to support general SVU discussion from an EO standpoint.

Q: Can I post Chriska content?
A: While your admin is a Chriska fan, Chriska is outside the scope of this community. Comments referencing Chriska in relation to an EO post are fine, but posts should be EO- or general SVU-focused, not Chriska-focused. (But if you decide to create your own Chriska community, this community will happily affiliate with it.)

Q: My community (here or on another site) is focused on SVU, but not EO. May we affiliate with this community?
A: Certainly! Leave a comment on the Affiliates/Links post so it can be added to the list.
